I know its belated, but I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year, and thought I'd take this opportunity to thank you for following me on my adventures so far...Truth be told I haven't really been keeping you in the loop with all that has been going on, but hopefully the following recap of the last years events will bring you up to date...
2013 proved to be one of the most adventure packed years of my life...
In February, the year kicked off to a great start with my first self produced show in Toronto. It was no easy feat, but with the support of the amazing Leslieville Community, I attracted a crowd of 200 strong...
I made a bunch of new fans...
And the event forged the beginnings of a great friendship and musical collaboration with artist/composer Asher Ettinger. We have since performed a stack of shows together in music venues throughout Toronto and have also worked on a few recording projects, including this recent track "Cold October Night" (click to listen)
In March, I did my first professional photoshoot EVER, with the help of my good friends Christopher Gentile (photographer) and Lili Marr(Make-up Artist)...After all these years of being a performer, it was about time I stopped being camera shy!

Shortly afterwards, in April, I was awarded a FACTOR recording grant which allowed me to record and produce my single "Next Plane To Paris" with Canadian producer Pierre Marchand.
The whole experience inspired me to book a trip to Paris which in turn led me to start this blog. It also inspired the "Next Plane To Paris" collage which I made from pieces of all of my favorite art nouveau paintings..
So from May - July I had and amazing adventure all over Europe (To hear all about it, check out my adventure archives)
Not long after returning to Canada, I was accepted for the VIA Rail On-Board Entertainment Program. This meant I would perform 3x day on the train across Canada and back again. So in August I was busy learning cover songs. I left in September, did some shows in Vancouver and spent a couple of weeks exploring the city. And in October, made my way back to Toronto performing on the train again.

In November I performed in venues throughout Toronto, one of which inspired a famous TV celeb (Fashion Guru - Jeanne Beker) to tweet about me to her 50,000+ Fans. I had a big spike in the views of my blog on that day :)
In that same month I also found out that Radio Canada had been playing my Paris song on a National French Program and apparently they even took the time to tell my whole life story- Funny! The song also received a great review by radio DJ Rosie Beaton, on the Triple J National Australian Radio program.

At Christmas time, the travel bug returned, and I decided to have an adventure in New York. I didn't know anyone at first, but by the time I left, I had made friends with a bunch of inspiring artists and musicians. I found the city magical and frightening, exciting and surreal. I'm tempted to live there for a while...
And now, my friends, the biggest news of all, I am writing to you from Perth, Australia. It's the first time ive been back home to see my family in almost 4 years! And I have to tell you, I once took it for granted, but it really is like paradise here.
What a year!! If this next orbit around the sun proves to be as exciting as the last one, i will be the happiest girl in the WORLD! (Click to watch Video)

Aside from hanging out at the beach, I do have a couple of shows planned, so stayed tuned if you're living in this part of the world.
