"Paris" is Screaming

Why is it, that when you decide to take a risk and do something completely irrational, the whole universe seems to nod in agreement?

Two minutes after I told my boss that I was going to Paris and quit my job, a complete stranger came up to me and basically said "What ever it is you're pursuing in life, you've got what it takes to make it.  The best is yet to come".

Everyone I know is excited for me and completely supportive of my crazy plans despite the fact my current bank balance is 10c.

I haven't even left yet, but everywhere i turn, 'Paris' is screaming...

Even graffiti on a public toilet wall seems to resonate...

'Paris' feels right, like it's meant to be...

Is it because, in the grand scheme of things ,the universe and all things in it are actually always in a natural state of chaos, made up of millions of spontaneous and random events?  By embracing change and letting go of stability, am I actually getting in touch with nature and my true state of being? Could that be why my irrational behavior feels so right?

Or... am I just reading too deeply into things as usual? :)

A la prochaine xx

Next Plane To Paris - The Song

First things first.  Please listen to my song 'Next Plane to Paris' This is the real inspiration behind my decision to go to France...Less than 5 days before I leave now!

Thanks to the support of a FACTOR recording grant, this track was recorded in collaboration with my good friend Pierre Marchand.  He is most famous for his work with Sarah McLachlan.  This is really just the first demo of the song, but I decided to stop being such a perfectionist and let you listen to it anyway.

It was recorded over a period of a few days in Pierre's beautiful country house in Quebec.  This was the perfect setting, floor to ceiling windows, overlooking a frozen lake.  It was a lot of fun and a very relaxed process. The mornings began with a  sauna.  By noon we were drinking whiskey and eating gluten free pretzels. By 7pm we were making dinner, drinking wine and watching movies... That's the way it should be no?

Let me know what you think and if you like it, do me a favour...share it with the world!...Or all of your friends at least :)
